The Godella club ranks second in the Valencian Community's overall youth development standings and first among non-professional entities, after a season in which 15 of its 23 teams reached a final
Godella, 5 August 2026. CB L'Horta Godella has been recognised as the second-best development club in the Valencian Community in the overall youth rankings compiled by Basket Alicantí, based on official results from the Valencian Basketball Federation (FBCV) over the 2025/26 season.
With 57 points, the club sits behind only Valencia Basket and leads the standings among clubs without a professional structure, more than twenty points clear of third-placed N.B.F. Castellón, on 37.
The recognition follows the best development season in the club's 33-year history, having been founded in 1993: 15 of its 23 teams reached a final across the regional, Preferente and Primera Zonal competitions. Almost two in every three teams reached the closing round of their competition, a figure that reflects the performance of the sporting structure as a whole rather than the isolated result of any single age group.
On the men's side, the club completed a clean sweep of the regional Final Fours, with its under-12, under-14, under-16 and under-18 sides all reaching the decisive stage of the competition. The under-12 and under-16 teams also secured places at the Spanish Championship. The under-16 side went out in the group stage, while the under-12 team finished seventh in Spain after a quarter-final defeat to FC Barcelona.
On the women's side, the under-16 team reached the regional Final Four and the Primera Nacional senior side competed in the promotion play-offs with a squad made up largely of homegrown players, one of the clearest indicators of the strength of the club's development model.
The ranking measures a club's accumulated performance across all age groups over the course of the season, rewarding the depth of its sporting structure and the continuity of its project rather than one-off results. CB L'Horta Godella therefore views this outcome not as the success of a single season, but as the consequence of sustained work in youth development over time.
The club would like to thank its coaching staff, the commitment of its families and the backing of the sponsors and institutions that support the project, and approaches the 2026/27 season aiming to consolidate this level of competitiveness across all its age groups.
